“Ignorance, the root and stem of all evil”

Even today when India is splurging for its niche in the world for its fast paced development, there are so many villages whose backbones are broken just by using their ignorance…

To help combat this problem, we at W.H.Y.FOUNDATION are planning to conduct many more Counseling Fairs in as many government schools as possible

The goal of this program is simple – to encourage students to continue their education beyond basic schooling.

A lot of students do not know about the various options they have ahead of them once they finish their basic schooling. As a result a lot of them quit their education, in order to take up odd jobs to support their families. It is our goal to create awareness among such students about the various options they have in front of them to continue their education on at least a part time basis, while still supporting their families economically. Once these students finish their education, they will easily be able to get into much higher positions and lead their lives more comfortably.

Come, join us as we strive to bring a difference in the lives of young students, and help them choose a path that will lay the foundation to a better future for themselves and their families.

If you are interested in creating awareness among those school children about higher studies and to continue their education beyond basic schooling, please fill in the form in below link and join us in this fight against Ignorance.

~~~What would we do in Counseling Fairs?~~~
-> We would travel to these villages on Saturday morning and visit the government schools
-> Conduct Counseling sessions to 10th class students
~~What can you do if you participate in this activity?~~
-> You can share your knowledge and expertise in educating these ignorant students about different career paths and options after 10th class
-> You can attend our “training session” before going to village (This will help you to conduct the session in very beautiful way)
-> You can be a part of Positive Change in someone’s life by helping them choose their career path and dreams
~~~How to participate?~~~
-> Nominate yourself to volunteer for this event as per your convenient dates
-> Attend the training session conducted by W.H.Y. (Where we shall equip you with how to conduct this counseling session)
-> Conduct the counseling session on scheduled dates now, we have a chance to help some ignorant kids to dream about a career for themselves…

We seek the support and goodwill of everyone involved, to make this program a huge success.

Come, join us as we strive to bring a difference in the lives of young students, and help them choose a path that will lay the foundation to a better future for themselves and their families.

6 Years of W.H.Y.FOUNDATION

An overview of the work carried by W.H.Y.FOUNDATION:

W.H.Y. Foundation had started with 5 people in 2007 and has grown to 500+ people over a period of 6 years in 2013.

All the founders, members and volunteers are software and MNC working professionals who take out time on weekends…

Saturday and Sunday (busy doing the night shifts in the working week) to impart best possible computer education free of cost to the school and college students in rural areas as a primary focus, providing medical supplies to old age home, doing road shows on various social issues like global warming, planting, providing clothes to the poor in winter, supplying the basic amenities to the orphanages and government old age homes.

We also take up special projects or funding opportunities to encourage passionate people to pursue their interests.

Below presentation shows the number of people who were benefited through W.H.Y. Foundation year wise since its inception in 2007 to 2013.
